21st century Education emphasizes in the inculcation of Life Skills, Foundation Skills and Coping Skills to meet the ever-increasing complexities of life. Out of which, the language skills are necessary for everyday communication.Play way method is a simple method which is based on the child’s attitude and aptitude. It inculcates creativity and imagination. It initiates strategic thinking and incorporating ideas. It problem-solving and decision-making skills. Play way instruction is child’s play method to impart education in a flexible manner. Reading Skill indicates the knowledge of the language. It is one of the four language skills. It is a decoding process which involves physical, intellectual and emotional reactions. It entails the ability to recognize the graphic symbols and their corresponding vocal sounds.The study would provide simple methods and techniques that could be incorporated in the teaching pedagogy. This study tries to implement an innovative module to inculcate better reading skills among primary students.
