Bio-fertilizers are a suitable supplement to chemical fertilizers to meet the integrated nutrient demand of the crops. In Amaranthusviridis L. the growth parameters such as root length, shoot length, fresh weight and dry weight was estimated to be higher in plants treated with Azospirillum on the 30th day. On the 45th day, the root length and shoot length was found to be higher in Azospirillumtreated plants, but the fresh weight and dry weight were found to be more in plants treated with Azospirillum, VAM fungi and Phosphobacteria.
